The Window Pause

A window is where inside meets outside. Take a moment to stand at that threshold.

The Practice:

  1. Go to any window in your home.
  2. Stand close — close enough to feel the air temperature change near the glass.
  3. Look through, then look at — notice the frame, the light, the boundary itself.
  4. Place your hand near the glass without touching. Feel the coolness radiating.
  5. Take one slow breath.

Notice:

  • You’re inside, but the outside is always present — in the light that enters, the temperature at the edge, the view that changes with weather and hour.
  • This small pause can remind you where you are: held within walls, but connected to the world beyond them.
