The air in your home changes overnight. Before the day begins, take a moment to notice.
The Practice:
- Before opening windows or starting your morning routine, pause in one room.
- Take three slow breaths through your nose.
- Notice: does the air feel fresh? Still? Heavy? Cool?
- Open a window, even briefly, and breathe again.
- Notice any difference.
Notice:
No right answer here. Just gentle awareness of what surrounds you.
Rooms with clay or lime walls often carry a different quality of air overnight — drier, cleaner, slightly mineral. Rooms with new synthetic finishes may hold a faint chemical note you only catch first thing. Either way, your nose knows more than you expect.
A small pause to connect with your home before the day carries you forward.
